This large, and somewhat strange looking bird is indigenous to Africa, and always reminds me of a chicken.  They cluck and make sounds like kek-kek-kek, as they run around with their chicks behind them.  I fondly remember them pecking at their own reflections in my bedroom windows and waking me up at dawn.  They are funny looking creatures, but somehow endearing.
